The only problem is that that was many many years ago and he only had The Games Factory 1 available to him, and computes weren't that great.
Browser based games were not even an idea and physics were a dream.
For many years others tried to remake this old gem ... but they failed ... hahahah!
Here are some other remake projects mostly abandoned :

I started developing Siege Again ! roughly in the summer of 2009 but the idea got stuck in my mind since i played the original game back when i was a kid
In the start i also tried The games factory 1 but it had some serious limitations and gfx were acceptable , i gave up and then when Multimedia Fusion 2 came out i retried, i had some good results but still not what i wanted,so i gave up again and waited for a better 2d WYSIWYG game engine to come out , in all that time i tried programming it with c# , unity 3d and Shiva 3d but those engines weren't meant for this sort of game.
Untill one day i found out by luck Construct 2 ,,, and here we are ..
What are the main differences between the new and the old game ?
- Improved puzzlegrid mechanics, now no longer will there be elements in the 2 bottom lines causing randomly easy summoned units, allowing faster gameplay a new mechanic that makes the element grab square wrap to the edges of the screen ,master this especially in the corners positions for insanely fast combos. Finally a new move called 'tailing' that helps you repick an element of the same quality but on a different position without the need for 2 keypresses for faster gameplay
- Improved graphics , some are kept like the old but mostly new graphics
- Campain mode added
- Online play in the todo list
- New units and combos
- More balanced gameplay so that each faction has its weaknesses and its stronger points
- Day/Night cycle system that changes the tactics on the gameplay , for example the unrested faction gains bonus attack at night and bonus defense at day
- Unit combinations , have the weaker units shielded from harm behind the giant units and much much more ...
